For dinner I heated up yesterday's leftover fried rice and paired it
with a piece of broiled tilapia. I love making fish this way because
it's so ridiculously easy. You just rub it down with some oil, season
with salt and pepper and then toss it in the broiler for about 8
minutes. Super quick and super easy.
Sadly it cooks up so fast if you're not careful, dinner is ready
before you are. I was hoping to make some spinach to balance out the
meal, but the fish was ready before I even got around to washing the
spinach. Oh well, guess the spinach will have to wait until tomorrow.

Today was the bi-weekly group lunch and although the weather wasn't
fantastic we headed down to Taylor's. I was sort of full from the
black and white cookie (and no I did not eat the whole thing), so I
went for the Cobb. It was a good choice, but still a bit too filling.

This weekend Melissa was in New York missing out on all the awesome
bay area weather. Sad for her but yay for me. You see her loss is my
gain, because if she hadn't gone to ny, I would not be the proud owner
of an authentic black and white cookie. She brought some minis too,
but first come first serve. Nom nom!
These are from William greenberg desserts and are super cakey
delicious. It had been a long time since I had one and have been
wanting to bake them, but wasn't sure if my end result was right. Now
I know what to aim for.
Sidenote: Melissa is the best.

Last night while I was at bi-rite the gal working the produce area
tipped me off to the best tomatoes of the season. Maybe even my life.
Seriously, the sweet/tart melt in your mouth delicious flavor was one
of the best things I've ever eaten. I ate some on a sesame bagel with
cream cheese, but I ate even more on their own. They're like candy. I
could eat these forever.
