Sugar raid

When you get an ike's sandwich, they throw in a lollipop with your order. Usually it's a tootsie roll pop, but sometimes it's a caramel apple one instead. The thing is, after an ike's gut bomb, you really don't need a lollipop, and if you go often, you end up with a stash. Tonight I raided the stash and select a ridiculously sweet caramel one.

Sidenote: The thing needs a plastic stick to really be worth it.

Cleaning out the fridge

Last night randall and I decided we should try a new pesto recipe for dinner today. So he stopped by the store on his way home from work, and picked us up the ingredients. However when we got home I realized we had a lot of leftover odds and ends in the fridge. This meant the pesto had to wait and I had ad-hoc pho-based soup instead.

On the Lookouts

For lunch I grabbed a delicious, if not increbibly messy and hard to eat, turkey and goat cheese meatball sandwich from sentinel. Melissa had never been before, so lawrence and I brought her there. She was skeptical at first because the line was so long, but it moved quickly.

Pic is blurry because my hands were full and I didn't think to take one sooner.

I can't seem to quit you

Generally speaking, I like to eat yogurt (preferably a thin one like this tj's brand or wallaby). For a while I was eating one a day, only recently the "good for me" yogurt has been replaced by bagels. And now that the madness has started, I just can't seem to stop.

The extra cookie

Last night anneh treated me to jens lekman and a cookie. The comedian (tig n.) Who opened was a freaking laugh riot. Jens and co. were adorable, but you know, despite our cookie loving lil' kid ways, it was sort of too twee. (I know I am probably being excommunicated out of some indie club by saying that. But seriously folks, at one point they all stopped and started twirling on stage. I dunno, sounds a lil' too close to hippiedom for me.)
