Mega shark vs giant octopus

It's meg's birthday today and to celebrate, she's got us watching a bad movie. So far it's terrible and that's what's making it so good. That and a whole room full of candy.

Very special beer oclock

You'll have to ask brian why it's so special. You won't be disappointed. Um, honest.

Ps. I like the way garrick looks in the reflection of the glasses. And that is shannon at the end. Holla!

Recipe for success

This afternoon angelica and I grabbed lunch at a new middle eastern deli place. We wnet on recommendation of bsugz, and it was indeed solid. The chicken schwarma wasn't anything like my gold standard (the one at falafel santa cruz), but it made for a tasty lunch and was good for area.

While there, I noticed two things. (1) how did they just open and yet have a load of awards in window (answer, this is their third location) and (2) they had these recipes for success and friendship posted. So those of you who aren't very good with the whole friend thing, fret no longer, they've got you covered.

Wasn't worth eating

I brought this pear in on tuesday. It wasn't quite ripe, but definitely needed to be eaten soon. Apparently friday was too many days to wait. It tasted like gross mush and had to be thrown out.

New fave thing

Randall was making himself his goat cheese garlic bread thing (the one I said was famous because I could ask for it by name) and so I asked for a slice. It is pretty fantastic. The parmesan melts on top sealing the creamy goat cheese inside. It's not rally breakfast though, more of a breakfast snack.

Sidenote: it should be mentioned that although I can ask for it by name, I give it a different name each time.

Sidenote2: I just saw this post sandwiched with the last post. We are classy people indeed.

Swelter and roast

When I got home from work last night, it was about 1000 degrees inside. Randall had been working from home and decided to take the opportunity to cook us up a fancy dinner.

He ended up doing a rosemary adobo pork roast with potatoes and carrots. He also bought chard but decided he didn't know how to cook it and didn't really care to learn (I would've been the only one eating it).

This is the fancy chef sucking on the twine that held the roast together. Like I've said before, we're classy.
