A few years ago I found these things called baby kiwi. They're also
known as kiwi berries (I found these at birite) and they are like
teeny grape sized sweet kiwis with smooth skins. I don't know much
about them, but i do know that when they hit the grocery store
shelves, they're only there for a short time. I also know that I snap
them up whenever I see them, they're just so delicious. And they're
ten thousand times better than plain old kiwi.

Today's group lunch was down at amber. It's been a while since we'd
been and I thought it was the perfect choice for a somewhat chilly
day. The warm Indian food really hit the spot, although I wished they
had brought the naan sooner (it didn't arrive until over half way
through the meal). While it was all tasty, I mostly liked the tikka
paneer and the tofu fritters (aka deep fried chunks of tofu). I could
eat both of those dishes every day.

This morning I picked out the blueberry skyr to go with my morning
honeycrisp apple (note Melissa says they're 99cents each at trader
joes!). While I have loved the vanilla and grapefruit skyr, the
blueberry was just so so. As in I ate it, but I'm not buying that
flavor ever again.

Yesterday started off gray and lazy. I woke up early on accident and
ended up working. I hate it when that happens. Stupid good work ethic.
Afterwards I ate the other half of my sandwich from the day before,
played some fat princess, and then got ready to start the day.
Next we drove down to Los altos where we ever so briefly hung out with
grant and Heidi. They offered tea, but we didn't have time. We had the
star wars symphony show to catch. It was at the huge up pavillion and
I think might be the only time I've eaten pizza and popcorn chicken
when I've gone to see an orchestra. And yes, while it was nerdy, it
was sort of awesome. Although I've fallen into the live orchestra trap
and am now pricing double basses. This happens everytime I see one.
Where in the hell would I put it?
Later we wandered the aisles of fry's (this is randall's idea of a
good time) and then met karenlee at opa! in Los gatos. I had a pretty
great Greek salad topped with chicken soulvaki, but the atmosphere was
weird, half sports bar half bistro. Afterwards, we went for hot cocoa
and iced teas at oso the great bear. What can i say, dinner just
wasn't long enough to catch up.
