Tonight the house husband did an indoor BBQ for dinner. We had
perfectly cooked pork chops (my leftovers are going to make a great
sandwich), couscous, and a mixed salad with herbs and fresh tomatoes.
For some weird reason I decided to use a teensy plate. The folks who
say to use a smaller plate for portion control obviously didn't have
me in mind.

After I went to the gym I was hungry. I knew I was going home for
dinner soon, so I didn't want to snack too much. I ate a handful of
special k blueberry flakes and then dk offered up her trail mix. I
have no idea what glucosamine is or why I'd want trail mix with it
added, but I had a few bites anyway. I avoided the yogurt covered
raisins though. I wasn't sure if they are on the ok to eat list. Yes,
I know this sounds a bit crazy. I can't help it. All or nothing. Only
two modes I know.

I've banned the real candy so this morning I went for some of nature's
candy: cherry tomatoes. Yes, i know that sounds stupid, but these are
the sort of lies i'm going to tell myself from now until oct 31. I
paired them with some pretzel sticks and some garlic mint cheese from
the afghani bread guys. I also ate an apple and ate this over the
course of several hours (I heart grazing) so I didn't really need lunch.

Last night, with the deadline for sweets looming large, I dragged
Randall out to grab a donut. Chocolate buttermilk to be exact. For
some reason donuts have lately been high on my list of things I want
to eat. Because of this, I thought it would be appropriate to make
them the last of the approved sweets. In case you haven't heard,
Melissa and have made a pact to cut out all sweets during the month of
October. If Michele can do it for a year, I figure we can do it for 31
days. Wish us luck. We'll need it.

Apparently I have picked a bad month to cut out the sweets. Today
the gals at yumsugar brought in some reeses peanut butter cup
blondies. They also said they would be bringing in a bunch of treats
all October. Those I can't have, but this I can. So I happily ate a
piece. It was a little undercooked, but that sort of made it more
awesome.
after work I headed over to anneh's house for hanging out and top
modeling. We were going to frozen pizza until meg came home and said
she was going to order a slice. That's right, a slice. There's a pizza
place down the street from them that delivers slices. Anneh and I
thought that sounded better and so five bucks later we had a huge
slice and a root beer. Great idea meg, thanks for letting us piggy
back it!
