sliced beef. It was tasty, but I am pretty over it. There's been so
many leftovers. Luckily I think there's only one meal left after this
one.

This afternoon, Melissa (with the help of dk and myself) transformed a corner of café claude into a fabulous (and yes I used that word for reals just then it was totally fab) little party. We were celebrating Maria and her soon-to-be twin gals, and thought she deserved more than just lunch. So we set out large pink paper plates and cute black and white napkins, confetti, and a streamer decorated chair (for the guest of honor).
Melissa also went through the trouble of setting out bowls of candy full of awesome twin baby themed things (Twix, snack kit kat — it comes in two pieces, double bubble gum, cry babies, and hugs & kisses). As well as double –stuffed oreo party favors!
Another fun touch was the martini glasses filled with water and a sprinkling of crystal light (to make them look like cosmos – which mama misses). The whole thing looked amazing right down to the two beautifully decorated diaper cakes. So so cute! (thanks michelle).
Oh and I also made angel food cake cupcakes topped with whipped cream and chocolate and hot pink sprinkles (to match melissa’s décor).
And finally, we were there for lunch, so I must mention that dk and I splitsvilled the pasta special (pesto with spinach and zucchini) and the chicken and egg sandwich. I must say, I was a little disappointed in the egg sandwich. I for sure thought there would be runny yolk egg, not hard yolk egg. Boooo.
Ps. For office folks: there is plenty of candy to go around. Come visit.

just say it was a baking fail)
