This evening Randall cooked up a big pot of pho broth while I got all
the accoutrements together. Randall's food guru is mark bittman and so
he used the bittman method (with his own alterations of course). The
broth contained chicken stock, beef stock, anise seed, clove,
cinnamon, cardamom, onions, fish sauce and sugar. And then we added
cilantro, spinach, lime, siracha, hoisin sauce, and thinly sliced
pieces of beef. It was a great meal and was perfect for the weather
(rainy and gray).

Editing photos and playing video games really works up an appetite.
Luckily I have grapes and cherry tomatoes for my snacking needs.

Yes, I still read the comics. This is despite the fact that I think
85% of them are not worth reading. It's just part of the Sunday when
did we become old people routine. Breakfast is made (sometimes its
more elaborate and sometimes its easy), Randall gets the paper from
the porch, and we divvy it up. I always start with the comics and the
target ad and then work my way through the news (well mostly the
lifestyle, food, and local stuff, because well front page is usually
not that newsie on Sundays).
and if you couldn't tell, today's breakfast was way easy. Cinnamon
brown sugar poptarts. I was actually going to make cinnamon toast
instead, but remembered that we only have marble rye bread and went
for pop tart instead.
