I think it was somewhere between a vacation and a staycation

You see, we're at home, but we are clearly reheating leftovers from
last night. That's right, I went to a restaurant while on vacation and
brought home a doggie bag. If that is possible, is it really a
vacation? Or is it a vacation as long as you're sleeping in a bed
other than your own?

For the record, it's only an hour away and we had a cooler in the
trunk (see post about eating year old cake), I'd like to think we
wouldn't normally do this, but then I'd be lying to myself.

Sidenote: there are two pans going because Randall didn't want cross
contamination. There are also two pans going because as I've mentioned
before, we don't have a microwave. And yes, it seems like I've been
rethinking that a lot lately.

Just a little bit of fish before we head home

We were worried we each hadn't packed on 25 pounds during this
weekend's eating frenzy and decided to do something about it. So on
our way back into the city, we made a last ditch effort for success
and stopped in Sausalito for a bit of fish. If you ever find yourself
on that side of the golden gate (or are just craving really great
fish) head down to the harbor and grab a table at Fish. Their fish and
chips are a bit pricey considering it's still breaded deep fried fish,
but it's well worth it. The batter is crisped to perfection and the
fish is silky smooth on the inside. The cecviche (seen in front) is
good, but not my fave. However the price per deliciousness ratio is
spot on as it's one of the least expensive things on the menu and will
not let you down. I mean we might not have made it to 25 pounds, but
lunch was definitely a success.

Straight from the vine

This morning we woke up for another round of buffet breakfast (see
yeaterday's post for more info). While we were sitting out on the
terrace I noticed that the place was covered in grape vines and that
there were actual grapes everywhere too.

I am going to go out on an uneducated limb and say that these are
Chardonnay grapes. I am basing this on very little, so if you know
what they actually are, feel free to chime in. Oh and if it helps,
they're definitely not fully ripe yet and sort of taste like
gooseberries.
