I'll make the bed, you make the dinner

I got home from work today to find Randall scuttling about the house
doing chores. He was about to make dinner but was retreiving the
sheets from the dryer first. Making the bed is one of his least
favorite chores, so I offered to do that if he made the dinner. A
deal was struck and one made bed later I was enjoying chicken stir fry
with veggies. Now if someone else does the dishes, it'll be a great
night indeed.

Bonus fulfillment

After the korean tacos, katherine grabbed some frozen yogurt, but I decided to opt out. However, once we got back, I started to question my choice and was clearly coveting her froyo. So when Julie reminded me that we had not actually eaten the ice cream we selected at the weird office building social, I squealed with joy.

Cookies and Cream Drumstick victory was mine.

I don't care if it's not a true commercial kitchen, this stuff is fusionlicious

This afternoon julie decided to have our life fulfilled in a new way: korean tacos. She had heard of John’s Snack and Deli, and pitched it to us for a lunch adventure. Not being one to turn down lunch adventures, Katherine and I signed up right away.

I ended up ordering the bulgogi and bbq chicken taco. It was like a mexorean fusion – the tacos were on corn tortillas with all the regular taco fixings (lettuce, cilantro, pico de gallo), but instead of regular taco meat it had korean marinated meat and kimchi. Plus, it was cheap. Two tacos came in under $7, and that’s a steal in this neighborhood.

Sidenote: I don’t know how this really qualifies as a commercial kitchen, but if they keep making this sort of delicious foods, I really don’t mind.

Sidenote2: If you wanna know how it’s really done, check out meiko and marketman’s homemade version.

Gave the blood, now where's the cookie?

I had to get a bunch of blood work done this morning which meant I had
to fast last night. Not a difficult task, and i orginally thoight i'd
just wait until lunch to eat. However after too many vials drawn, I
was feeling a bit woozy. So on my way into the office I stopped by
peets for some zucchini bread and iced tea. Also, perhaps i was just
woozy and cranky, but he lady behind me seemed like kind of a bitch
and made an exaggerated sigh when she couldn't cut in front of me.
