I don't care if it's not a true commercial kitchen, this stuff is fusionlicious

This afternoon julie decided to have our life fulfilled in a new way: korean tacos. She had heard of John’s Snack and Deli, and pitched it to us for a lunch adventure. Not being one to turn down lunch adventures, Katherine and I signed up right away.

I ended up ordering the bulgogi and bbq chicken taco. It was like a mexorean fusion – the tacos were on corn tortillas with all the regular taco fixings (lettuce, cilantro, pico de gallo), but instead of regular taco meat it had korean marinated meat and kimchi. Plus, it was cheap. Two tacos came in under $7, and that’s a steal in this neighborhood.

Sidenote: I don’t know how this really qualifies as a commercial kitchen, but if they keep making this sort of delicious foods, I really don’t mind.

Sidenote2: If you wanna know how it’s really done, check out meiko and marketman’s homemade version.
